Fabric for PRO aerial silks - 1m

When you buy 1 piece, you are buying 1m of material in one piece, e.g. if you buy 6 pieces, it means 6m of material in one piece. If you need several sashes, e.g., choose 20 pieces and in the comments section add: 2x10m.

We offer material cut by the meter, which gives you the possibility of optimal length to the height of the room.

If you already have accessories (connectors / figure eight), you can order the material itself. It is the same material that we offer in the sets. Choose any length to suit your needs.

What length should I choose? In the case of a hammock, the fastening knots use about 2.5 m of material, i.e. when ordering, for example, 6 m of material, after tying the knots, you will receive a hammock with a "working height" of about 1.75 m. In case of a silk, we fold the material in half and hang it on the figure eight. If your room is 4 meters, you need at least 9m of material. Howewer, we recommend ordering at least 10m of materials so that some part of it lies on the ground. Longer material allows more comfortable performance of techniques involving tangling with the silk, e.g. leg or arm knots etc.

Safety:

It is also worth knowing what we exercise on. The minimum value of the static load that our silks can withstand is 1200 kg. Assuming a safety factor of 10: 1 for acrobatic exercises - the dynamic load is 120 kg. In practice, two adults can use the silk/hammock without fear. Our silks have a slight longitudinal stretch, which decreases with use, and greater flexibility in the transverse direction. We produce the material in Poland, it is 100% polyester. Material width: 150-160 cm (+ -5 cm). After many analyses and tests on the selection of the perfect material, this one was recognized as the best. Why? It has adequate strength, is pleasant to the touch, does not cause wounds on the body, has the right thickness and flexibility. Silks/hammocks are tested in accordance with the following standard: PN-EN ISO 13934-1: 2013-07, and additionally under normal working conditions. 

Storage and maintenance:

Store in a dry place at room temperature, away from sharp and rough objects. Wash at 40 degrees C (without accessories: connectors, figure eights or swivels).

When suspending, be careful not to damage the material with the connectors. Before each use, check the material for holes and puffs. Material with serious damage cannot be used. Exercise without shoes, belts, jewelry, or other sharp objects.
